Cut the wood that will make up the shelves. These will be hooked up to the cabinet via nails.
Step 6
Connect the bottom, top, sides and back with the shelves using the nails. You can also drill holes and use screws instead.
Step 7
Cut a wood piece as big as the back, or make two pieces; these will be the doors. Hook up the doorknobs to the door pieces.
Step 8
Place thin strips to make the bottom and top edging. Fasten the hardware for the door.
Step 9
Fasten the legs to the cabinet with the nails or screws.
Step 10
Paint the cabinet.
How to Build a Loft Bed

Step 1
Put the mattress on the floor and utilize it as a guide for making the box. Use the 2 x 6 wood to cut four side pieces. Use the plywood to make one bottom piece. The size should be just a little bigger than the mattress.
Step 2
Fasten the plywood to the box sides with the screws. Place screws every two feet.
Step 3
Chop the 4 x 4 to the desired height. Place the posts to the spots below the loft bed. Put the box on the posts. Use the bolts to connect the box and posts.
Step 4
To create the ladder, make several two inch slats and set them a foot apart. Secure them to the bed.
